Benefits
Provides protection against Loss of Income
Features include:
Provides payment for medical expenses not covered by provincial health plans, including the costs of Physician and Surgeon fees as well as services of a registered nurse.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Benefit
Principal Sums of $100,000, $200,000 or $300,000 is available.
If the Insured Person sustains an injury as a result of an accident and as a direct result suffered any of the losses, (within 365 days after the date of the accident), specified in the policy, the Company will pay the percentage of the Principal Sum in accordance with the Benefit Schedule in the policy.
The amount of the Principal Sum is stated on the Schedule of Benefits issued with the policy.
This coverage pays 100% benefit for Accidental Loss of Life, Paraplegia and Quadriplegia.
Coverage also includes benefits for Home Alteration and/or Vehicle Modification, Rehabilitation, Spousal Occupational Training and Child Education.

Business Overhead Expense (BOE) Benefit
Out-of-Province Emergency Medical Coverage $5,000,000 Maximum
Providing you coverage for unexpected emergency medical expenses as a result of injury or illness while you travel.
Eligible travel benefits will be paid based on usual, reasonable and customary charges. Hospital accommodation, physician charges, diagnostic services, paramedical services, ambulance services, emergency air transportation, transportation to bedside, treatment of dental accidents, return of traveling companion, meals and accommodation and more.
Certain expenses are only covered if prior approval is obtained by The Assistance Company . Immediate notice must be provided in the event of an emergency while traveling, failure to do so may limit your coverage. Benefits will be coordinated if coverage is provided under any other plan.
Pre-Existing Condition: If you are over age 65 (but less than age 70) any conditions you may have must be stable for six continuous months prior to your date of travel.
